What It Is

Semax stimulates Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) and Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) synthesis and release, promoting neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal survival. It modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, enhancing cognitive function, memory consolidation, and focus. It has neuroprotective properties via activation of antioxidant defense systems and reduction of neuroinflammation. Its Pro-Gly-Pro tail protects it from rapid enzymatic degradation and facilitates BBB crossing. Clinical use in Russia for stroke, optic nerve disease, and cognitive decline.

Stacks Well With

Selank

Complementary cognitive enhancement - Semax improves focus and memory while Selank provides anxiolytic effects and reduces stress. Together they produce balanced cognitive optimization.

Dihexa

Both are powerful nootropics with different mechanisms - Semax via BDNF and Dihexa via HGF/c-Met signaling - potentially synergistic for cognitive enhancement.
